Easter is around the corner

In Australia, you know Easter is around the corner when you see all this Easter bunny chocolates being sold at shops. I was super fascinated walking in Target (something like Malaysia's Jusco) and seeing rows and rows of chocolate bunny fever on display and for sale!

According to Mr. C, it's a tradition here - Chocolate Easter bunny and eggs together with seafood luncheon with the family. Of course, there are those that hide chocolate eggs around the house for little ones to go hunting and Mr. C is planning to do just that for Ah Lih's visit from Brissie!

Somehow, I can't tell if he was just pulling my leg.

I asked slightly incredulously, "Is this what people over here do for Easter? It's so far from the supposed actual meaning of the season!!" And Mr. C innocently quipped, "Isn't easter all about easter bunnies??"

Make me @_@ and -_-"

No it isn't! Easter in fact has NOTHING to do with bunnies, eggs and seafood!!

But that didn't stop Mr. C from buying for me my first chocolate bunny!

And a second one!

When Mr. C bought the first one for me around mid March, I left it at the ledge of the window and he would always tell me not to leave it there for fear that it might melt. Being stubborn and liking how Mr. Bunny looked on the ledge, I told Mr. C that all will be well and it won't melt!

But early in the month, when the sun was out the whole week, I forgot to move Mr. Bunny and when I did remember to move it, it's body was soft.

I just left it on the kitchen counter to cool off and harden again whilst texting Mr. C on Mr. Bunny's fate or so I thought.

Lo and behold, when Mr. C got back from work that night (I was wondering why he was taking so long to get home that evening) he didn't come home alone. Accompanying him was an even taller chocolate bunny than the first one he got for me!
No points for guessing which bunny's fate was sealed that night... =)
