Pink is hot for 2011 weddings, and when coupled with gold, it takes on a very special feeling, and becomes one of the most favored color palettes for this year~ a little bit vintage, and little bit "right now". The color of pink needs to be the palest of pink, for this palette to really work and make a bit hit.
Invite your guests to help themselves to these yummy favors. Cellophane bags printed with the couple's initial and wedding date are filled with delicious goodies including pink-chocolate wafers, pillow mints, strawberry puffs, jelly beans, candy-coated milk-chocolate pieces, and tinted rock candy. By having the bags pre-filled, you make it easy for your guests to take one on their way home.
The little cellophane bags are tacked to a board with corsage pins. Pink stickers made using scalloped craft punches seal the packages. Candies from Groovy Candies (search their website, groovycandies.com, by color) and the Sweet Life (sweetlifeny.com).
Your cake will be pretty in pink with these lovely layers inspired by the equally lovely camelia flower. The tiers were created by laying a custom stencil by Designer Stencils on the fondant; royal icing was then spread over it. Once dry, the reliefs were rubbed with edible pearl dust tinted with gold-green luster dust to make them glitter. M&S Schmalberg created the flowers used in the bouquet topper.
