Are you a late 2011 or 2012 bride? If so, with nine to twelve months left to plan your wedding, now is the time to start! There will those of you who start planning several months in advance, while others many wait until just a few months prior to their wedding day.

Here are some items to check off your list,
nine to twelve months before your big day.

1. Announce your engagement
2. Create a preliminary budget (get some advice from a professional wedding consultant)
3. Start a guest list
4. Hire a wedding planner
5. Select a wedding date and time
6. Determine what type of wedding you want (size, formality, style, color scheme, etc.)
7. Select and secure you ceremony location.
8. Select and secure your reception location.
9. Start shopping for your engagement rings.
10. Select and secure your officiant.
11. Begin to select and secure you major vendors ( photographer, florist, baker, videographer, caterer, DJ.)
12.Go to wedding expos and related events for ideas.
13. Select contact and confirm bridal party
14. Select and purchase your wedding gown.
15. Mail "Save the Date" cards to out-of-town guests.
