Ila & Matteo's Wedding

This day was very a special one...for Ila, Matteo, and for me. I knew when the church began to fill with handsome men in fine Italian suits, and beautiful women fashionably dressed and perfectly accessorized, we were in for a special treat!

Ila, with her maid of honor, had traveled from London, and Matteo, along with 25 of his family and closet friends, traveled the long distance, from Italy. With the religious ceremony in the St. Francis Church in Incline Village, much of the ceremony was in Italian. With the highly anticipated reception to follow at the 1930's Fairwinds Estate, everything was absolutely perfect!

Ila planned so carefully so that the feeling of the 1930's the Fairwinds Estate would set the perfect stage for their reception and dinner. Sitting right on the beach, this fabulous estate, has the ability to take your mind, back in time. Granite boulders surround this massive estate, with steep staircases that descend down to lake level. The private beach is the perfect place to take a romantic stroll or dip your feet into the crystal blue water.

Native American drummers performed to give the international guests a taste of the Tahoe and Native American Indian culture that Nevada is known for.

Ila's gown was handmade by two graduates from the London Fashion Design Academy, and it was perfect in every detail. She looked like she belonged in a time gone by! Matteo's groomsmen linked arms and sang a song to him in their native Italian. The party, rocking with accents different than mine, were everywhere! The day was truly a dream come true!

Ila & Matteo, thank you...thank you, for the awesome privilege of assisting you with your beautiful wedding! I will always remember the full moon, reflecting on the Lake as you were all dancing the night away inside the Fairwinds...what an absolutely fantastic wedding day!
