Challenge: Day 1 - Day 5

Day 1 – Introduce yourself
Firstly, I am a very long winded person. I ramble and I mumble and I rant and I rave.
Turning 26 years old next month isn't exactly a thrilling thought. Who knows what is in store for me and who I will be celebrating this supposedly momentous occasion with besides Mr. C since all my friends and family are back home, far, far away in Malaysia. Yeah, I know Air Asia offers cheap flights but it's not like any of my friends and family can up and fly thousand of miles over to surprise me. It would definitely be awesome if Mr. C was that rich to charter a plane and bring them over though. *sigh* One can only hope and dream. =p

For all my 25 plus years on planet earth, I wouldn't say I have achieved much in life. I've been to school up to Uni. I wouldn't call myself a genius nor a smarty pants. I have never failed a single subject in Uni but I struggled with passing all 6 of my CPA papers and somehow at the same time, seem to have survived close to 4 years of audit torture in one of the Big Four accounting firm.

Hmmm... I am not exactly known for being pretty but apparently someone told Mr. C that I was known as a hot chick in Form 2. Interesting news that I, myself never knew. But then again, that's ages ago. Now, I am just known as Miss Fatty. *hehe*

I love photography and artsy stuff but I am so square and unimaginative that I lack the creativity to think out of the box. My blog posts are a testament to my creativeness or lack of. I can seriously go on and on about me but I think this will suffice for now. I have never been known to be a straight to the point kind of person.

See what I mean about rambling and being love winded? Case close.

Day 02 – Your first love
Wow. That's got to be a toughie. Let me see... first love. Hmmmm....

Is it that boy in my Std3 (1993) class? Nah. I think it would have to be Snoopy- my white dog with pink nose. I was always carrying her around and stroking her fur.

I remembered my brother, mother and I went to some animal or reptile exhibition held at Devan Sivik when I was in Std5 (1995) and we bought Snoopy a doggie cage. I don't know why there were dogs and cages at the reptile show but it was just there. When we reached home however, my dad had given Snoopy away and without our consent! Typical parent. Typical Asian parent.

My mother and I was utterly crush. She because of the money spend on the cage and me for obvious reasons. And that was how my first love ended.

Day 3 – Your parents
My parents will be married to each other for 31 years this coming November and their anniversary falls on my sister's birthday! How awesome timing is that. My dad does not believe in public displays of affection. He is the kind of guy you will see winding down his windows in Cameron Highlands as we drive past ang moh tourists exclaiming,"This is Malaysia. No public display of affection please...". My mum on the other hand, is alright with public displays of affection but just not with my dad, that is. They're both different as day and night, just like
Mr. C and I.

Day 04 – What you ate today
Had super filling dim sum aka yum cha in Logan with my grandaunt. Comparable to the finer restaurants back in Malaysia except for the salted egg and custard pao. If you've been following my posts, you'll know that this is one of my favourites and have blogged about it on numerous occasions.
For dinner, Mr. C and I had home made watercress soup with pork bones. I had a piece and a half of bread with Nutella and milk heated up with honey.

Day 05 – Your definition of love
I know love should be as defined in the bible in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (New International Version)

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

BUT that is one kind of love not easy to be upheld.

I have experienced first hand that it is not as depicted in movies nor like in the novels. Dashing young knights on horseback racing to rescue their damsel in distress with trials and tribulation leading to a reconciliation between hero and heroine only happens in the fantasy world.

In real life, love is about two people making a commitment. A commitment to accept one another; the good and the bad; the beautiful and the ugly. Accepting and yet not giving up on the other person, to strive to do whatever it takes to make the relationship work.
