Candle light dinner date at Vintry

Before I came over to the Sunshine State- otherwise known as Queensland, my sister booked me for a night, for a date. Knowing of my love for western food, she brought me to Vintry.

Now, coincidentally, few days before my sister suggested that place, my then colleague- Slyvia was gushing about this place she went and how glorious the pork ribs were. And naturally, I jump at the chance to sample the tasty morsel at said place. So, after work, I headed home to fetch my sister and off we went to Vintry, which is just behind Victoria Station at Damansara Heights, KL.

The ambiance...
Candle in a cup to set the mood.

Simple furnishings with paintings adorning the walls.

After waiting for sometime whilst inhaling stinky toilet aroma...

A so-so Fettuccine Carbonara...

Scrumptiously kookiefied pork ribs!!

Accompanied by coleslaw and mashed potatoes.

And for desert, we had tiramisu. It was alright ish.

For the location of the shop, the price and ambiance, I had higher expectations. The pork ribs lived up to the gushings of my colleague and sister, who has been there before. However, I was a bit disappointed with the carbonara. It looked good but I wished it had tasted as good as it looked. Definitely had better ones. Even the tiramisu was only average. Nothing to shout about.

Both at Vary Pasta was better as I had blogged about before. In fact, I blogged many times on Vary Pasta over HERE and HERE and HERE. Even the carbonara at Santhini, Tropicana City Mall was different and tasted better even if it looked a bit plain as blogged previously over HERE.

Then again, Malaysian shops have this tendency NOT to maintain the quality of the food. So, the reviews are based at the particular times I visited respective shops.

ALL I have to say is that
the food at Vintry in my very humble opinion is not exactly worth the money you have to fork out for it. I wouldn't really recommend this place but if you crave for pork ribs and happened to be around Damansara Heights area, then, why not give it a go.

As the saying goes... "one man's meat is another man's poison". You might at the end of the day, have a different review then me. =)
